The bulk of UKUATogether activities have been under the umbrella of the UK Homes for Ukraine scheme. We have enabled registration of hosts and refugees, safeguarded matches, submitted visas, supported with finances, and often helped with schools and employment.
We have been part of an astonishing national movement helping people fleeing war in Europe. Those who have come to the UK have been welcomed into our communities, schools and workplaces and the people of Ukraine are hugely grateful.
Hosts have signed up for 12, 9 or 6 months of hosting refugees. Out of those about 25% fall into the category of being able to host for only 6 months. This deadline is now approaching, and these hosts and Ukrainian families need our support with next steps.
The guides you can download below describe the process that we have started following at UKUATogether to help Ukrainians move into the private rental market.
